I read on the website Bureau Of Labor Statistics (1) that the average household in America spends roughly $250 each month on eating in restaurants.
Most of that money was spent on lunch and dinner.
I am sure that for most seniors that is not affordable.

We live about 15 miles away from Captain D’s which offers meals for seniors on Wednesdays and Sundays. Lately, they have changed the price from $5.99 to $6.99 but it is still a reasonable price for a full meal.
With inflation on the rise, it is nice to know where to go out for dinner or lunch and not that there is a senior citizen discount for your meal.

In some other restaurants or store you can ask if there is a discount for senior and you will be surprised at how much money you can save just by asking.
There might even be some senior meal delivery services that will have these discounts.

Restaurants With Senior Citizen Discounts – My Opinion
Again, it is important to note that discounts and availability may vary by location, so it is always best to check with your local restaurant before ordering to confirm their senior discount policy.
I know of a local small pops and moms restaurant that offers an “early bird” special on their breakfast menu from 6 Am to 8 AM, and that includes 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon or sausage, and 2 pieces of toast. Maybe your local restaurant offers something like that?
As I mentioned earlier, all you have to do is ask. I did several times and in many cases, they will give you a discount on your meal.
